We've been part of the Goshen community for more than 30 years. In that time we've hosted thousands celebrations, and a lot of the people at those tables were our neighbors. That's not something we take lightly! Here are a few of the ways we try to give back to the community that's given us so much.
Feeding people beyond our dining room
We cook for a living, so it makes sense that some of our help shows up as food. Bread & Chocolate donates to local food banks, including The Window and Food Rescue.
A room for the people doing good work
Local non-profits do a lot with very little, and a good meeting or event space shouldn't be the thing that holds them back. We offer free room rental to 6 local non-profit organizations, so more of their budget goes toward their mission.
Local when we can
Northern Indiana grows some great food. When the season and the menu line up, we buy from local farms, which keeps dollars close to home and puts fresh ingredients on your plate, including delicious fresh produce from Clay Bottom Farm.
Less waste, behind the scenes
Events create waste. It's unavoidable, but it's also manageable. Our kitchen composts food scraps, and we recycle across the venue, so less of every celebration ends up in a landfill. It's not glamorous, and you'll never see it during your reception. But it's part of how we run the place.
Part of the neighborhood
Every celebration here reaches a little further than our walls. When you choose Bread & Chocolate, you're also supporting the food banks, non-profits, and local farms and businesses we work with. Your celebration helps our neighbors, too!
